Paul Collins is a proven successful business leader, entrepreneur and respected consultant in business development.
From a state school background, he went on to study economics and corporate law, which for 38 years helped him build his Leeds based company, Beaver International. The company manufactured and supplied corporate and sportswear to many blue chip companies before being acquired by the Zell-Em Group in 2008.
Major achievements include working with the R&A and IMG to establish The Open merchandise brand in golf and holding the official license from its introduction in
the early eighties. Beaver International established itself as the leading supplier of own branded merchandise to over sixty of the top soccer clubs in the UK and other sports brands as well as establishing ranges for Wembley Stadium and Lords, the Home of Cricket.
For the past 22 years Paul and his wife Gail have resided in Florida for six months of the year. They still have about five more years to wait for their permanent visas which are subject to the long 15 year wait to work through the system. In the meantime Paul has been developing his other ventures and is the President of HCD Language Services, a business that provides translation and interpretation services.
In 2019 Paul embarked on his Eco Trail Trekker Global USA journey. The idea was created with his background of building leadership and teambuilding skills within his own business, tools which not only apply to the workplace but also in family life. This combined with his desire to help the local communities made for a perfect pairing.
Based on the concept of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Eco Trail Trekker is a weekend festival that includes a sports, health and wellness expo coupled together with various challenges that not only reward those participating but reward many charities and good causes in the local and wider community.
Previously a keen soccer and cricket player, Paul’s hobbies now include golf, walking, working out, yoga, swimming, cycling (but only in Florida) and reading.
Paul is very excited for the 2nd annual event of Eco Trail Trekker, which will be held at a new venue in April of 2020. Armed with the experience gained from the first Boca event combined with an increase in support of sponsors, vendors and the community, this upcoming event is sure to give much back to charities and good causes in the local community and beyond. Paul is proud to present Eco Trail Trekker as the premier expo to connecting and giving back to the community and looks forward to this event growing exponentially in the years to come.
